Before you call your insurer

Write down when you found the water and where it came from. Take a few photos on your phone if it's safe. Keep any failed part, like a cracked supply line or water heater fitting, since your adjuster may want to see it.

Then call us. We can start mitigation while your claim is opened.

We help document your loss, but coverage and payment decisions are made by your insurance company. We can't guarantee that a claim will be approved.

Frequently asked questions

Answers before you call

What should I do right now if I have water damage?

Shut off the water source if you can do it safely, and turn off power to any wet area. Move valuables and furniture off wet floors, and put foil or blocks under furniture legs that can't be moved. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water. Then call us at (425) 449-6720 so we can get extraction started.

How long does structural drying take?

Most clean-water losses in a typical home dry in about three to five days. Hardwood, plaster, concrete and crawlspaces can take longer. We take moisture readings every day and only pull equipment once materials reach their dry standard, so you'll see the numbers, not a guess.

Will my homeowner's insurance pay for this?

Many policies cover sudden and accidental water damage, like a burst pipe or a failed supply line. Gradual leaks, flooding from outside and some sewer backups are often excluded or need a separate endorsement. Coverage is decided by your insurer, not by us. What we do is give your adjuster clear photos, moisture logs and a detailed scope so the claim is easy to review.

Do I need to wait for the adjuster before you start?

Usually no. Most policies expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage. We photograph and document everything before we remove anything, so the adjuster can see the original condition. If you're unsure, call your carrier and tell them a mitigation company is on site.

When does water damage turn into a mold problem?

Mold can begin to grow on wet drywall, wood and carpet pad within 24 to 48 hours. Fast extraction and drying is the best way to prevent it. If you already see growth or notice a musty smell, we contain the area before removing anything so spores don't spread to the rest of the house.

What is Category 1, 2 or 3 water?

The industry classifies water by contamination. Category 1 is clean water, such as a supply line. Category 2 carries some contamination, such as a dishwasher or washing machine discharge. Category 3 is grossly contaminated, such as sewage or outside floodwater, and porous materials it touches usually have to be removed. The category decides what can be dried in place and what must go.

Don't let water damage get worse.

Every hour water sits, it moves deeper into drywall, framing and subfloor. Call now and a technician will talk you through what to do while our crew is on the way.
